Being Productive with the iPad3

I know, I know, the title of this post is an oxymoron, since I tend to play more games with the new iPad3 than doing anything productive. I think its just easier to unwind and lose yourself in a game (or ten games), rather than using it for work. For many people out there, they may just see the iPad3 as a luxury or toy, however, there are plenty of apps out there to help us stay productive!

Wedding Photography: Canon Photography Gear

Canon or Nikon? Nikon or Canon? Which is better? I am a believer that the camera, like a brush, is just a tool of art. I started out a Canon shooter and have fell in love with their camera bodies and lens selections. Whether you choose Nikon or Canon, you can cannot go wrong with either selection, as they both provide strong products at each level of the professional grade camera bodies.

Marin/Reyes | Orange County Portrait Photographer

My good friends, Lizza and Rene wanted to do a mini portrait session of their family to get their Christmas cards ready for the holiday season. This was a last minute session where they basically called me up when we got a quick 30 minute break from all the rain over the weekend. We arrived at a near by park, photographed the session and finished just as the rain started up again.

Yosemite Valley

What a fantastic (and much needed) mini vacation to Yosemite! I admit that it has been several years since I visited Yosemite. I probably did not appreciate the sights and breathe in the clean crisp air as much as I should have, but being a child during my last visit, I never really understood the beauty of Yosemite.

Tasty new Canon EOS-1D X

More details have emerged from sites around the globe as Canon releases the new Canon EOS-1D X. DPReview and Engadget provide similar information. I can’t wait until DPReview gets their hands on the camera, they always do a great job on camera reviews! Since this bad boy isn’t scheduled for release until March of 2012, I am left to drool over the technical specs of the camera and the images of the camera itself. I am anxiously awaiting a chance […]

2011 Long Beach Marathon – Mileage may vary

On Sunday Oct. 9th 2011, I accomplished something that I never thought I would ever accomplish; I ran my first half marathon!! On my previous post Running Scared, I mentioned that I had signed up to run in the Long Beach Half Marathon and with 81 days to spare to adopt a training program and to eat better as the race approached in hopes of being a lean, mean, half-marathon-running machine. In actuality, none of what I had planned even came […]

San Diego Comic-Con 2011

The annual Comic-Con (or Comic Convention) quickly engulfs San Diego like a tsunami of Sci-Fi nerds, comic book geeks, wannabe superheroes (or villains) and hardcore Twilight fans. This year was no exception to the madness that is Comic-Con. After a little hiccup with our lodging arrangements we were extremely lucky to have resolved the issues and have the following view every morning while at the Con. We could have not asked for a better view and it was within walking distance […]

Running Scared – Long Beach Marathon

It’s official!!! Well, i’ve officially registered at least.. I have entered myself in The Long Beach Marathon. I am only running the half marathon since I figure this will be enough punishment for me. I have never run a marathon in my life, so I really do not know what to expect. All I know, is that I better get my run on! I only have 81 days left to train!
