This past weekend I ran my 2nd half marathon at the 2012 OC Marathon. I was really excited for this one and I wanted to see what time I could accomplish for this race. Now, I must admin I was NOT in tip-top-super fit shape or that I steadily training like Michael Phelps (ok bad choice of hero’s, since he swims and probably can’t run as well as he swims) for months leading up to this event, but I had […]
This Sunday I will be running my second half marathon. My very first marathon was the Long Beach Half Marathon in 2011. It was an overwhelming enjoyable event and after finishing the race I was hooked! I couldn’t wait to run another one. I was supposed to run the Huntington Beach Half Marathon but due to lack of training, excess of beer and enjoying food way too much, I was nowhere close to running shape.
The San Diego Comic-Con is upon us once again! At Comic-Con 2012 you can expect to hear frantic steps of comic book nerds and overly eager movie fans rushing to their destinations just to stand in long lines to catch a glimpse of their beloved animator, author or movie idols. They fill the spacious floors at the San Diego Convention Center
I know, I know, the title of this post is an oxymoron, since I tend to play more games with the new iPad3 than doing anything productive. I think its just easier to unwind and lose yourself in a game (or ten games), rather than using it for work. For many people out there, they may just see the iPad3 as a luxury or toy, however, there are plenty of apps out there to help us stay productive!
Canon or Nikon? Nikon or Canon? Which is better? I am a believer that the camera, like a brush, is just a tool of art. I started out a Canon shooter and have fell in love with their camera bodies and lens selections. Whether you choose Nikon or Canon, you can cannot go wrong with either selection, as they both provide strong products at each level of the professional grade camera bodies.
On Sunday Oct. 9th 2011, I accomplished something that I never thought I would ever accomplish; I ran my first half marathon!! On my previous post Running Scared, I mentioned that I had signed up to run in the Long Beach Half Marathon and with 81 days to spare to adopt a training program and to eat better as the race approached in hopes of being a lean, mean, half-marathon-running machine. In actuality, none of what I had planned even came […]
The annual Comic-Con (or Comic Convention) quickly engulfs San Diego like a tsunami of Sci-Fi nerds, comic book geeks, wannabe superheroes (or villains) and hardcore Twilight fans. This year was no exception to the madness that is Comic-Con. After a little hiccup with our lodging arrangements we were extremely lucky to have resolved the issues and have the following view every morning while at the Con. We could have not asked for a better view and it was within walking distance […]
It’s official!!! Well, i’ve officially registered at least.. I have entered myself in The Long Beach Marathon. I am only running the half marathon since I figure this will be enough punishment for me. I have never run a marathon in my life, so I really do not know what to expect. All I know, is that I better get my run on! I only have 81 days left to train!
Today I was forced and badly beaten into submission by Melody to rescue not one, but TWO kittens that were put up for adoption. I am more of a dog person at heart but after seeing and holding these cute little kittens, I had no choice but to give in to their powers of persuasion! C’mon, look at them! 🙂
Camera equipment for sale!!
No, I am not selling all of my Canon gear to make the jump over to Nikon (at least not yet, anyway). I am still keeping all my other L series lenses.
No, I am not selling all of my earthly possessions so I can back-pack around Europe as a vagabond.. picture Aladdin but more handsome and in Europe!
